The Safe Access For Everyone Committee is not only interested in the Shore Road Path. The Committee is concerned with a number of roads in Cape Elizabeth that are important connectors used by walkers, runners, and bicyclists, including: Mitchell Road • Fowler Road • Upper Spurwink Road
All of these roads see frequent use by pedestrians and cyclists, but have no sidewalks and narrow shoulders. As these roads are maintained, we feel that sidewalks and wider shoulders, with painted lanes of at least three feet, should be provided.

Safe Routes to School The SAFE Committee is spearheading an effort to create a Safe Routes to School Committeee in Cape Elizabeth to encourage our children to walk or ride their bikes safely to school. Safe Routes is a federally supported program that helps communities identify potential routes kids can use, as well as gaps or problems in the connections to schools. Federal funds are available to help communities build the infrastructure they need so kids can get to school without relying on just cars or buses.
